Today there’s a market of paid services but applicants aren’t always aware that they exist and they’re expensive.

Kira endeavours to create an app that will prepare applicants to take their online assessments.

We began the project by running a design sprint to help us get focused on the specific problem we would be trying to solve.

 

The team works together to generate as many ideas during the sprint.

Design Sprint Insights

This was Kira's first design sprint and I wanted to know if the participants found it valuable so I sent out a short survey asking them how they felt. I was glad to learn they felt like I listened to them. They were excited to see what comes out of this process.

I collected a lot of feedback so I took the next few days to distill my findings. Here are some of the insights I uncovered.

Problem

For applicants, taking an online video and written assessment is a new concept. 

There are many things to do to "get it right." for example, setting up your environment to be recorded, making sure your microphone works well, even getting used to the pace of writing a timed response.

Currently, Kira users are given the chance to practice a few questions to help them prepare for what's, but this experience is very basic and doesn't provide the applicant with useful feedback on their attempt.
